Alice in Wonderland is a curious story…most of it isn’t logical, but this one little girl tries to make sense of a new world and understand her role in it. Most of us are doing the same thing every day. What I like about this quote is the notion that we can change at any time. In the morning, we wake up and most of us are on autopilot…getting things and people ready, getting out the door. We may just be trying to survive until we have that first cup of coffee. We do not give ourselves the time to understand our personal goals of the day and that is our blogspiration challenge is this week.
When you wake up in the morning, think about your overall intention of the day. Some ideas may be to look up when you walk to make eye contact with people, smile more, call your partner or best friend in the middle of the day to let them you are thinking of them, etc. It could also just be to close your eyes and take 10 deep breathes somewhere during the day and that’s okay. Your intention can be your guide to make sense of your purpose during the day. Try not to let stress define your day at any time…use that moment to change, refocus your inner-guidance and move forward. At the end of the day, my hope for you is that you feel empowered personally that you are in control of you and can change your perspective when needed.
